He wants to be awake...ALL OF THE TIME!

Last night after I put Tucker back to bed after feeding him, he decided to stay awake and play...for over an hour. We could hear him in the other room just babbling on in his little baby language. He wasn't crying or anything, just talking and talking and talking...and talking. I guess Tucker just couldn't get back to sleep. That being said, neither could I. He is not wanting to take his naps anymore either.

He also has this new fascination with his feet. I will go to get him up after naps or in the morning, and he is usually just sitting there holding onto his toes or trying to grab them.

Another thing is that he is attached to his "silky" blanket. He absolutely loves it. Is it child abuse when you know your kid just might get made fun of for being attached to a "silky" in high school?

Sophie and Tucker just staring at each other.

Gary wrapped him all up in his silky. Tucker could barely move!

He has a little elephant he always plays with, and he loves to chew on the elephant's ears because they make a crinkly noise.

There are just so many new things that I notice about him, like he gets all frustrated when he can't reach something that is just out of his hand's grasp, or when we put him in his bouncer chair and he tries to sit up more upright than the angle of the chair. He is also a thumb sucker.

Growing like a weed!

We recently had Tucker's 2 Month Doctor's Visit. He is in the 90th percentile and is growing so fast! When I see new babies, it's hard to imagine that he was ever that little and that wasn't even that long ago!

This is Tucker when he was brand new.
This is when Grandpa, Grandma and Kaitlin Schaugaard came to visit when he was still just a little guy.
This is Tucker now!
He is just growing like a weed, and We have been having a blast watching him grow.

Most weekday mornings Tucker and I go for a walk with Ashley and Sophie to a park nearby. The ducks always are excited to see us.
Sophie likes to tickle Tucker's feet.
A little puppy wanted Tucker to be his friend so he licked his toes.
When we went to Grandpa and Grandma Schaugaard's we were given some clothes for Tucker from our aunt and uncle. Kaitlin and Sandy dressed Tucker in his new BYU fan clothes.
Tucker fell asleep like this the other day.
This is a picture of when Tucker got to meet his Great Grandma and Grandpa Green. He also got to meet his Great Grandma and Grandpa Birrell that just got back from their mission in Alabama, but I couldn't find a picture.
We went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. This is Tucker's foot compared to a dinosaur track.
This was at the museum. I think this picture is funny. Look at his little legs just sticking out of the stroller.
When Tucker gets tired, he tries not to fall asleep and kicks his legs and flails his arms around cause it is just too much fun to be awake and play. If I give him a blanket, he likes to play with it, and it helps him settle down and go to sleep. It is also really cute to play "Where's Tucker?" by throwing the blanket over his head. He always pulls the blanket off his head and smiles, and we say "There you are!"

We bought Tucker a life jacket when we went boating with the Laidlaws this last weekend. It was just a little big on him and squished his cheeks together, but it didn't seem to bother him too much.

"He says he has a cold."

So I have had a cold this last week, and I was all worried that Tucker would get it too...and he did. His nose has been all stuffy, and I feel sad that I gave it to him. It was interesting though, the other day I was at the post office, and I had Tucker asleep in his car seat with me. There was a mom and her little girl, probably about 2 or 3 years old, in front of me. I set Tucker's car seat on the ground, and he woke up and was being kind of noisy while the little girl just looked at him. She then turned to me and all matter-of-fact-like said, "He says he has a cold." I apparently should hire this girl for translating.

Well, cold or not, Tucker is still smiling, and I think it is the cutest thing ever! Maybe it is not as cute at 3 in the morning when I am extremely tired as I put him back into his bed after feeding him, and he just looks up at me and smiles so big and seems to say "Yay! Time to play!" But it is cute enough for me not to be mad about it.

P.S.  So thanks to those who voted for Tucker, but I now realize that it makes you go through a time-consuming survey before it let's you actually vote, so really don't feel bad if you don't want to do it!
