A Random Moment of Tuckness

Here is a little video I took on my phone.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

On December 1st we got to open a present from Grandma, Grandpa, Amber, and Kaitlin Schaugaard. Tucker got some good present opening practice in.

I think Tucker may have been hoping there was more wrapping paper underneath that first layer. It is his favorite part! We are excited that it was a Christmas Tradition Quilt. Every Year everyone gets a turn to use the Christmas Quilt during the month of December until Christmas. Here is Tucker all bundled up in it.
Tucker got some more present opening practice in at Sophie's birthday party. She didn't quite know what to do with her presents, so Tucker had to show her a few tricks on how it's done.  "See Sophie, it's sooo awesome! You get a good handful of paper and then you RIP IT OFF--like this!"
Another Christmasy thing happened around here. It snowed! I know that is no big deal to you Northerners, but St. Georgians rarely see this here! Tucker was quite confused by it. Here is the view from our back yard.
"Mommy, Daddy, what IS this stuff?"
Also, it's a Christmas Miracle! Our basement remodeling is complete! I am so glad to have it done. I want to give a thankful shout out to all the people who helped! Even Tucker helped...kind of.

I had to get the place vacuumed before the carpet could go in, and apparently Tucker thinks that the vacuum is going to eat him. I tried to show him that it wouldn't hurt him by letting him hold it. So much for that lesson. I think it made it worse. He probably has nightmares about it now. Poor kid.

This is us enjoying the carpet right after it got put in.

Here it is all done!

I actually have some more Christmas stuff to blog about but this post is already kind of long. So stay tuned :)

Timber!

Here is the chopping of the tree as promised. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. Behind our yard is pretty much a 100 ft. drop so if Gary fell...not good. But we got it down with everyone safe and sound :) Now, I look forward to the day we can get some grass in the back yard.  Also, now we have wood for our wood burning stove in the basement. We got a fire going in it for the first time.
It's  good thing too, cause it has been getting a little chilly for us wimps here in St. George. Gary put a gazillion blankets on Tucker the other day.

Also, our basement is looking a lot better these days. We will be getting the carpet in tomorrow and Thursday.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Here is our Thankful Wall that we all wrote something we are thankful for on.
This is us waiting for the food at Uncle Scott and Aunt Debbie's on Thanksgiving day.
The is Tucker and Santa on the day after Thanksgiving. Santa said he knew what Tucker wanted for Christmas, just something to grab. Right then, Tucker grabbed his glasses.
I know I just recently posted that we painted our house. Well, we had Tyler over and he was talking about how much knocking down a wall would open up the basement. Well, you can't just give Gary ideas like that or this is what happens:
...and all this:

Dust was in every room of our house. Lots of cleaning to do.

Gary is outside right now with Bill cutting down a huge dead tree in our back yard. I am a little afraid...for the neighbor's yard...and our house...

Stay tuned, I am taking pictures.

Tuck and His Duck

Tucker got this duck from Aunt Elisha and Uncle Ben. It is supposed to be filled with water and set in the bathtub. He really likes all the room in the tub, so we just let him play in it outside of the tub. He loves it! If you squeeze it's beak, it quacks. Too cute!

Redneck Baby Chair and Teething Ring

Gary forwarded this to me in an email. Haha! I think we should do this for Tucker.

Halloween

This was the morning of Halloween. Tucker never sleeps in, and he will just talk and talk forever in his room so we put him in bed with us. We had dressed Tucker up in his costume the day before for a little while and I had left Tucker's little curlyQ on overnight.
"I wanna be like Johnny and June..." Gary and I were Johnny Cash and June Carter for Halloween this year. Little Tucker was the cutest Charlie Brown I ever saw!

Here are some of our friends at the Halloween party:
Chris, Sara, and Olivia: JFK, Marilyn Monroe, and a little Ballerina
Jeremy and Kim. They look like the real deal to me!
Tyler and Nicole: Dixie and Florida Basketball players
Justin, Ashley, and Sophie: Dread Pirate Roberts Wesley and Buttercup from Princess Bride, and Sophie was a cute little bear (she's hiding).
Chris, Sara, & Olivia, Me, Gary & Tucker, Kim & Jeremy, Darrel & Gina, Tyler & Nicole (center front)
Tucker absolutely loves Oliva!
After the party, we went to a house that had a ton of intricately carved pumpkins in the driveway.
This pumpkin with Spiderman was huge!
Dwight Schrute
Sponge Bob
Kung Foo Panda
Cars
Twilight
BYU, a Salt Lake Temple, and Utes
