What's in a Name?

So far, thanks to Gary, our poor little baby boy is called Torture Boy, and I have this eery feeling that it isn't going to stop when he is born. I am just afraid that he is going to feel that he needs to live up to this nickname. Gary even made a picture on illustrator depicting the baby:

....and he tells me that the brown is not chocolate.

When I try to suggest any other names that might not give anyone a complex, the topic of conversation is changed immediately.  The only other name I can get out of Gary that he might like is Fish. So...we've got a little problem.

Also, according to this picture Gary made, pregnancy is just as hard on the fathers:

To help resolve our little name dilemma, I would love any name suggestions for our little boy on the way!

I have had a list of names that i like since i was in junior high...weird I know! But some of the ones i like for boys is.... Brayden, Braxton, Brady, Dillon, Devon, Kayden, and Landon. Those are just a few that i like. It is hard to find a name for a baby...especially when the hubby is giving you funny names like fish! hahahahaha so funny

I think the name Fisher is cute. If you like it then everybody is happy!

I had the same problem when I was pregnant with our first one. Now, with this one on the way my husband has already made up his mind if it is a boy it is Ridger. I guess it isn't that bad. I like, Dax, Bryce, and a few others.

i am so glad to hear I am not the only one!!! We have a list of names we like and Mark has gotten better about telling me which ones he likes but at first he would just say, "Its okay" with no feedback. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Good luck with the whole name thing! I'm afraid you're right and torture boy will be a nickname no matter what. I like the pictures, but you really should comment that he meant for the expectant father sign to go outside of the psychiatrist office, it really adds something! I hope you survived the weekend all right!

well you can't do worse than Huckleberry! - kidding. I love my child's name. I LOVED your Hudson idea. I vote for that. For me, I liked the city names: Logan, Boston, and then Evan, Eli. Sawyer? Then Huck and Sawyer could be pals :) (but josh might get mad, he liked that name too, but I voted it out. We can't have a Huck and a Sawyer)
We would look through literary books to find names - not the baby book cause it's a little overwhelming. Pick up a Shakespeare book, or just books you like (even the bible) and go through them. You'll find something. If it doesn't happen soon, it's ok. You have at least until they are blessed. But I know I would want to call my child something else than Torture child, so I don't blame you for looking for other ideas. :)
*maybe even talk about middle names first if you want one. That might help Gary feel less pressure. Who knows :)

Good luck - love you. (sorry for the novel comment)
