Monticello

One highlight of every year is being able to go to Monticello for the hunt. In previous years, I just camped out with the guys and helped watch out for the big bucks. This time, I stayed at Grandpa and Grandma Schaugaard's and got to hang out with Grandma Schaugaard, Becky, Amber, and Kaitlin. Later, Sandy and Wade came to join the fun too.

This year, Gary didn't draw out for the deer hunt, but we still got to go because he got to hunt for elk. Sadly, they didn't even see one elk. But it was still nice to go visit. Later, when all the guys came back, and we celebrated Gary's dad's birthday and all watched conference together. Monticello is just beautiful in the fall, and you just can't beat the company :)

Our New House

We moved into our new house! It took a lot of hard work and multiple amazing friends and family to get the house all cleaned and painted and ready for us to move in. Seriously we could not have done it without you!!! This is what it looked like before we moved in.

Front Room: light green
Kitchen: magenta
The washroom and upstairs bath are just past the pantry closet. I didn't get a pic of the washroom.

Upstairs Bath:

Hallway and closet: magenta
Master Bedroom: purple with light pink trim
Master bathroom: yellow and white

Tucker's Room: light green
Going downstairs: gray walls and gross carpet
Downstairs Family Room: gray
The previous owners left us some lovely furniture.
Nook off of Family Room/aka future ping pong tournament room
There is a downstairs bathroom and two bedrooms that I didn't take a before picture of because I thought we weren't going to paint them. We ended up painting one of the bedrooms. I will have to do a video tour or something so you can see the finished product.

Because of the bright colors of our walls, we had to get everything with primer. We had to tape off all the fixtures, cabinets, flooring, etc. This is DeeAnn as the white primer monster :) She sprayed everything down. She and Bill stayed at the house till 4 in the morning because we had some time restraints and needed to get everything ready to paint for the next day.
Here are some people who helped: Willie, Gary, and Chris. This is in the downstairs hallway.
Gary and I pause for a minute for a picture. He really did paint me. Not on the face though, all over my leg.
Here is Justin putting up a light fixture next to the Laundry Room.
Grandma ad Grandpa Haroldsen were in town and came to help.
Ashley and Sophie were some awesome painters :)
Sophie and Tucker kept each other company part of the time.
Here is little Tucker just tuckered out. He was sooo good the whole time. He just sat in his bouncer, kicked his legs, and watched all of us paint.
Tucker got a chance to get out of his bouncer while Bill held him.
We decided the babies had had enough of the dust and so we Scott and Nate outside to watch them. Brutis helped watched them too.
Here's our little family working so hard on our new house. Tucker is ready to paint with his little paintbrush. This is in the Front Room. The front door is right behind us.
There are so many people that we didn't get pictures of who helped out so much with getting our house ready, helping us move, watching Tucker, and just helping us out. We want to thank all of you! We couldn't have done it without you. There are just so many that helped that I don't even think I can list all of them. Thank you so much!

Stay tuned for more updating. I have many more pictures and events to still catch up on.
